CityGrid is a SCAM
The promise was to promote my business and get numerous carpet cleaning jobs. Well they started a campaign with the understanding I would pay only $2.05 per action (Click to Website, Request Driving Directions,Trackable Phone Call, View User Reviews, Send Profile Page to Email, View Profile Page, View Map, View Offer). Needless to say I was very excited about the amount of business they were promising. The Salesman from Citygrid asked if he can put a $400 per month budget on my campaign. He stated I would only be charged per action and it would not go as high as $400 anyways and that if it did I would be so busy that I would be happy to pay the $400.
About a month into the Citygrid campaign I noticed a charge of $400 on my credit card. I have obtained NO CUSTOMERS. I had no hint of any sort that the campaign was getting that high in price. I placed a call to them to find out what was going on. The showed me how to run a report. The report showed a tremendous amount of action to my campaign and the total was at $400. I explained that I have received ZERO business or any hint of business from the Citygrid campaigned. The representative did comment that they have tracked one call. She also said she would work to get my money back.
I hung up the phone and dialed the number of the customer that supposedly called from the ad. The number was a non-working number. I checked my website stats and I had no referrals to my site from Citygrid contrary to what the report indicated. Well this raised a red flag! I checked them out with the BBB. To my surprise they had an A+ Rating. Upon further investigation I found:

Additional Complaint Information
Some complainants allege that the company misrepresents the price of the ads, or they experience difficulty cancelling services. Other customers complain the company fails to acknowledge cancellation requests by mail or phone, that the company continues to bill them after cancellation, or that their listings were incorrectly displayed. Several customers complain that customer service personnel were not helpful or that they failed to acknowledge cancellations. The company responds to complaints by issuing refunds or credits, cancelling accounts or by apologizing for lapses in customer service. In some cases the company provides explanations of the customer’s contracts and the terms of their services.
They had 221 complaints with businesses that had similar issues to me. I did not stop there, I did a google search for City grid reviews and Citygrid scams. There are hundreds and hundreds of complaints with simillar issues to me.
If you are thinking of advertising with Citygrid DON'T. You will be disappointed!
